German Wirehaired Pointer Information, Clubs and Judges

The German Wirehaired Pointer is a medium-sized hunting dog, with wire hair completely covering skin. Overall they should be slightly longer in body, compared to shoulder height. The GWP is a powerful, strong, versatile hunting dog, which excels in both field and water. It is loyal, intelligent, sound temperament and alert. It is gentle, affectionate, even tempered and very loyal.
