The German Longhaired Pointer is a medium sized, noble and elegant and a powerfully built dog with an overall impression of an energetic, well balanced dog. It is a dual purpose Pointer/Retriever, with a very keen nose, a determined hunter and game-finder; equally good on land and in water. It is a calm, even tempered, alert and very loyal dog.
